Full Honey and Strawberry Moon

 The Honey and Strawberry full moon graced the sky on June 3. 

The Epitourists gathered at Kaarina's a week later for a meal in the bamba shack and I decided to plan the dessert course around strawberries and honey in honour of the full moon. Rob and I were on the Through the Garden Gate tour in Riverdale, and ended the afternoon in Kaarina's with the tulip tree in full bloom.

Although the theme was officially Through the Garden Gate it could just as well been dubbed Simply Delicious. We normally painstakingly prepare, but on this occasion the meal seemed to come together quite effortlessly.

Appetizer - Scallops with truffle carpaccio (Diane)

Main - Barbecued Ecuadorian Shrimp (Kaarina) with Fresh Greens (from Laura's garden) with mango and blackberries 

Dessert - Strawberries with Honey & fresh whipped cream (Diane and Rob)

Digestif - Mead (Diane)
