Found a perfect hideaway! A private apartment on Gros Islet, Saint Lucia. We booked a two week stay! And flights! For February!
A beautiful apartment on a quiet beach: "Relax on lounge chairs at the beach, take in the sun on the lower lawn or take a cool walk in the garden and discover the tropical trees on the property which includes Cashew, cinnamon, tamarind, Pomegranate, avocado, sour-sop, pineapple, mango, wax apple, local plum, gooseberry..." Sounds like paradise. We're planning a relaxing vacation this time around, staying in one place to take in the sights rather than hopping island to island or place to place. By February we will be in need of some Vitamin D.
We had been trying to contact someone whose accommodations Laura B. recommended, but they were very very slow in getting back to us and then finally put us on to someone who was managing their bookings. That person was also slow slow getting back to us and when we asked questions, put us on to their website (that didn't have available bookings!) Not at all helpful. In the meantime, we found this alternative.
